Cajun Seasoning Recipe from scratch

For the recipe, I use this store-bought Cajun seasoning. But if you can make it from scratch the taste is even better.

Ingredients:

Place all the ingredients in a small bowl. Stir until everything is well combined. You only need about 2 teaspoons for this air fryer Cajun Shrimp recipe. Transfer the rest of the seasoning to an air-tight jar.

If you don’t have dried oregano and thyme, replace them with Italian seasoning. This works great too.

Cajun seasoning works great with chicken, salmon, Tilapia, or any recipe that calls for cajun seasoning.

Description

This Cajun Shrimp in the Air fryer is one of the easiest quickest recipes you can make. You only need 5 ingredients if you have a cajun seasoning at home. If you don't, check out the description to easily make it from scratch.

Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Air fryer to 400F for 2 - 3 minutes.

  2. Pat dry shrimp and add them into a bowl. Add Cajun seasoning, minced garlic, oil, and lemon juice. Mix well.

Cajun seasoning is hot. If you don't like too much heat, reduce the amount of seasoning you use, but add a little bit of salt to compensate for the reduced saltiness.
  3. Place the shrimp in the air fryer basket in a single layer. (if you can't fit them in a single layer, cook shrimp in batches).

  4. Air Fry for 3 minutes at 400F. Then, flip the shrimp and air fry for another 2 - 3 minutes. Cooked shrimp should look opaque with a light pink-orange color. And the tail should curl into a "C" shape. Serve warm.

Optional: garnish with some chopped parsley for a pop of color and serve with lime/lemon wedges on side
