I love cooking. But I’m not particularly eager to spend the whole evening in the kitchen. Especially in the summer when the weather is warming up and there are tons of activities to do outdoors. I want to make my meals super quickly. Yet delicious of course.

This Bang Bang chicken bites recipe only needs a few minutes of prep time. And if you choose to do it in an air-fryer, it only needs 10 – 12 minutes of unattended cooking time too. The bang bang sauce doesn’t need any cooking and can be whipped up within 5 minutes. Not to sound like bragging but guys I have the best-tasting bang bang sauce recipe. So good with chicken, shrimp, salmon, and other dishes too.

Yes!! Here’s how you do it!

  2. Then preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  3. Spread the seasoned chicken pieces in a single layer on a baking sheet.
  4. Bake for about 15 minutes or until the chicken is almost done.
  5. Brush the bang bang sauce generously over the chicken pieces on all sides.
  6. Bake for another 4 – 5 minutes until the chicken is fully cooked.

Can I make it on the Stove?

You absolutely can! Here are the instructions.

  1. Marinate the chicken and make the bang bang sauce as given in the instructions on the recipe card below.
  2. Heat up a griddle and brush the griddle with a little bit of oil to prevent sticking.
  3. Place the chicken pieces on the hot griddle in a single layer. Avoid overcrowding to ensure even cooking.
  4. Let the chicken cook for 2-3 minutes on one side until it develops a nice golden-brown crust.
  5. Flip the chicken pieces and continue cooking for another 2 – 3 minutes on the other side until they are almost cooked through.
  6. Lower the heat. Brush bang bang sauce on both sides of the chicken pieces and cook for another 2 – 3 minutes or until the chicken is fully cooked.

Easy meals with Bang Bang Chicken Bites

Rice bowls with Bang Bang chicken bites are the best. My whole family loves it. Super flavorful. Serve chicken with some warm Jasmine rice, sliced cucumber/ cabbage/ carrot/ edamame, or a mix of your favorite veggies or greens. I also like to top it with some sesame seeds and of course with more bang bang sauce.

I love making tacos with chicken bites. You can simply top the chicken pieces with shredded lettuce and some jalapenos if you like heat. Add some sauce on the top. It’s amazing. You can make burritos the same way too with some rice added.

Makes a delicious wrap or a sandwich filling with soma lettuce and tomatoes. You can make bang-bang sliders the same way too. For a healthier choice bang bang chicken lettuce cups are amazing!

I also love these chicken bites as a pizza topping.

You can serve the chicken on its own as an appetizer at your party or game nights. Add the sauce into a small bowl and place it on the side.
